About this Group
This group is focused on processing the loss of humans in our lives. We'll be talking about loved ones and how to adapt to a world that has changed since their departing.
We'll learn coping skills, how to honor our loved ones, and anything else the group feels is important!
Based on group preferences, we can do art, poetry and activities that stimulate conversation and healing.

DBT or Dialectical Behavioral Therapy is a cognitive behavioral treatment approach that emphasizes the development of four skills: mindfulness, interpersonal effectiveness, emotion regulation, and distress tolerance.
About the Group Facilitator
This group is facilitated by Shannon Snowmna, LCPC.
Shannon is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor who provides therapy services to children, adults, families, and couples. She earned her graduate and undergraduate degrees from Hood College in Frederick, Maryland.
Shannon's past experiences includes providing school based counseling services to children ages 4 through 18. Additionally, she has received advanced training in trauma work and is a certified Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapist (TF-CBT). Shannon has been an active member of our local community, giving trainings, talks and doing podcasts about suicide awareness as well as other mental health topics.
