

KIM ROWAN, LCSW-C

Kim Rowan is a Licensed Certified Social Worker with ten years of experience working with children, adults, and families experiencing diverse challenges in a variety of settings.
Kim earned her Master of Social Work, with a clinical concentration in children and families, from the University of Maryland Baltimore in 2014. She has advanced training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Trauma-Focused CBT, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), ChildFirst forensic interviewing, and Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT) modalities. She is certified in trauma-informed addictions and recovery counseling, grief and bereavement across the lifespan, and child development.
Kim believes in meeting her clients where they are with wholehearted compassion, curiosity, and unconditional acceptance. She approaches treatment as a collaborative and evolving process aimed at overcoming challenges, building upon strengths, healing, and growth. She integrates a variety of evidence-based treatment modalities, including CBT, ACT, MI, MBCT, attachment theory, internal family systems theories, polyvagal theory, and positive psychology.
