MEGAN MCDONALD, LCSW
Meg is a Licensed Certified Social Worker with a thriving passion for working with individuals and families going through life challenges. She received her Master of Social Work degree from Saint Louis University in 2009.
Meg’s approach to therapy is person-centered and she believes that a strong therapeutic relationship is the foundation for creating positive change in a person’s life. She enjoys working with people across all stages of life as well as their families, with an affinity for the adolescent and young adult populations.
In order to find the best therapeutic fit for each individual or family she works with, she uses a number of modalities, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TFCBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), mindfulness techniques, play therapy techniques and Narrative therapy.
Meg specializes in treating depression, anxiety, posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD), trauma, survivors of domestic and sexual violence, and families experiencing conflict. She believes all people deserve, and have the capacity, to overcome the challenges and conflicts that life brings, regardless of their culture, race, religious beliefs, gender, or sexual orientation.
