Abby Donnelly, LAPC
Licensed Psychotherapist
Abby Donnelly is a Licensed Associate Professional Counselor who supports individuals across the lifespan as they navigate life transitions, deepen their understanding of themselves, and build stronger relationships. She earned her Master's in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from St. Bonaventure University. Abby completed her final clinical internship at Life Change Therapy Now and continues her work with the practice as a licensed counselor. Abby offers a warm, collaborative space where clients can explore their experiences and work toward meaningful change. She takes a whole-person approach to therapy, recognizing that culture, upbringing, relationships, physical experiences, and spirituality can shape emotional well-being. She helps clients understand how these influences connect while honoring their values and what wellness means to them. Her areas of clinical focus include supporting women with concerns related to identity, sexual wellness, body image, and religious trauma. Whether clients are exploring these concerns or other challenges, Abby approaches their stories with curiosity, compassion, and respect. Grounded in person-centered and narrative therapy principles, Abby draws from Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), somatic approaches, attachment-informed therapy, and trauma-focused interventions. She adapts sessions to each client’s needs, goals, and learning style, balancing practical skills with space to process emotions and feel heard. Abby encourages clients to bring their whole selves into therapy their thoughts, emotions, physical experiences, and personal stories. Together, she and her clients work toward greater self-understanding, stronger connections, and changes that reflect what matters most to them.
