Alaya Davis
Alaya is a Clinical Mental Health Counseling intern at Life Change Therapy Now with a trauma-informed focus. She is currently completing her Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling with an emphasis in trauma and holds a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology with a concentration in forensic psychology. Prior to transitioning into a clinical role, Alaya worked extensively in administrative and client-care positions within mental health settings. This experience provided her with a strong understanding of how systems, access to care, and advocacy shape the therapeutic experience. This background continues to inform her work as a counselor, allowing her to approach clients with both clinical insight and a deep awareness of the barriers individuals may face when seeking support. Alaya’s clinical interests include trauma, grief and loss, life transitions, and supporting individuals and families navigating complex or overwhelming experiences. She is committed to creating a safe, collaborative, and compassionate therapeutic space where clients feel heard, respected, and empowered to move at their own pace. Alaya believes therapy should honor each client’s unique story while fostering resilience, insight, and meaningful healing. Outside of the counseling space, Alaya values balance and self-care and enjoys reading, hiking, cooking, and creative pursuits. She is passionate about continued learning and is grateful for the opportunity to grow as a clinician while supporting clients on their healing journeys.
