Jennifer Brengel is a psychotherapist dedicated to supporting individuals across the lifespan as they navigate emotional challenges, life transitions, and relationship concerns. She helps clients build insight, strengthen their sense of identity, and cultivate emotional wellbeing using a trauma-informed, evidence-based approach tailored to each person’s unique needs. While Jennifer has a clinical focus in narcissistic abuse recovery and relationship trauma, she works with a wide range of concerns and presentations.

Known for her grounded, direct, and deeply compassionate style, Jennifer supports clients experiencing anxiety, depression, grief, stress, relationship difficulties, and the effects of past or ongoing trauma. She has particular expertise in the complex aftermath of coercive control, betrayal trauma, and chronic emotional manipulation, and integrates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), trauma resolution strategies, attachment-focused work, and nervous system stabilization to help clients gain clarity, develop coping skills, and build lasting resilience.

Jennifer brings extensive clinical training and academic preparation to her work. She holds a Master of Science in School Counseling from Long Island University, a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Binghamton University, and is currently completing a second Master degree in Clincal Mental Health Counseling She also has significant experience in crisis intervention, supporting individuals through high-intensity or destabilizing transitions with grounding, structure, and immediate emotional support.

Her practice includes working with adults, young adults, and college-age students, helping clients develop emotional regulation, healthy boundaries, effective communication skills, and self-leadership. Jennifer collaborates closely with clients to create practical, meaningful goals and a therapeutic pace that feels safe and empowering.
