Jess Lastner is a Licensed Graduate Professional Counselor who earned her Master’s Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, as well as her Bachelor's in Psychology, at Hood College. Her experience has primarily focused on treating individuals struggling with depression, anxiety and trauma.

She recognizes the overwhelming evidence that a strong therapeutic alliance can lead to better treatment outcomes, and therefore aims to create a therapeutic environment that is safe, accepting, compassionate and collaborative with each of her clients.

Jess combines various treatment approaches and methodologies to help her clients achieve their treatment goals and find their own path towards healing, including person-centered, strengths-based, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Gestalt and Existential Therapy.

“The counseling experience can sometimes leave individuals feeling vulnerable as we confront things that are typically avoided.  I am here to make you feel comfortable navigating these unexplored areas.  As we work through these issues and the emotions that arise, we will work together to establish goals and discover coping skills that work specifically for you.”
