Seme specializes in supporting individuals struggling with anxiety, depression, mood dysregulation, and other internal challenges. His clients may experience panic attacks, obsessive thoughts, compulsive behaviors, phobias, or excessive worry, often connected to trauma, personality factors, or major life transitions. Many seek help for persistent low mood, self-esteem issues, or a loss of interest in daily activities, while others work with him to overcome unhealthy eating habits, addictions, or significant changes in perception and behavior.

His therapeutic approach is integrative and tailored to each client’s unique needs. He draws from various evidence-based modalities, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Psychodynamic Therapy, Adlerian Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Narrative Therapy, Person-Centered Therapy, and Multicultural Therapy. He also provides family, couples, and group therapy when appropriate.

Seme incorporates CBT techniques to help clients restructure negative thoughts, develop mindfulness, and implement behavioral activation. He uses psychodynamic techniques to explore past experiences and uncover deeper patterns influencing present behaviors. Adlerian therapy helps clients understand their personal goals and social context, while Narrative therapy encourages them to reframe their life stories. His ACT approach fosters psychological flexibility, and his use of Multicultural therapy ensures a culturally responsive and inclusive practice.

He holds a Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Liberty University, an MBA in Management from the University of Connecticut, an MS in Finance from the University of New Haven, and a BS in Business Economics from the University of Yaoundé in Cameroon.

Seme works with individuals of all faiths or no faith and respects each client’s beliefs and values in the therapeutic process. Upon request, he incorporates pastoral counseling techniques to support clients seeking a faith-based approach to their healing journey.

With a background in both clinical and pastoral counseling, Seme provides a compassionate and culturally informed space where clients can explore their inner struggles and work toward healing. He completed a 12-month internship in professional mental health, family, and couples counseling in private practice, along with two years of pastoral counseling in hospital and hospice settings, serving diverse individuals aged 13 and older.

Seme is deeply committed to fostering trust and safety in the therapeutic relationship. He believes in meeting clients where they are, empowering them to develop resilience, and guiding them toward meaningful change. His work is rooted in empathy, integrity, and a passion for seeing clients achieve personal growth and well-being. He considers it his calling to "go help people" and finds great fulfillment when clients experience transformation, reconnection, and healing in their lives.

Outside of his professional work, Seme is a devoted husband, father of five sons, and grandfather of two boys. He serves as a church elder, enjoys gardening, appreciates comedy, and is an avid reader and writer. He resides in Maryland, where he continues his dedication to helping others live fuller, healthier lives.
